a new month already. i am feeling really crummy today. so afraid i am going to keep it short. spent most of the night up coughing and blowing my nose. lovely. i found subs for 3 of my 4 classes today. so hoepfully another day to just nurture and take care of myself will pay off and i will be well tomorrow ;) I am a lot better off than some of the others who i know who have gotten this stuff that is going around but still no fun. at least i haven't really been sick since october so i shouldn't complain.
getting up at 5 this morning to go and teach was tough. i was feeling not great and then to muster up energy to inspire others wellllllll..... we did it. i love my ladies and had a good time after i got there. no way i could teach my ZUMBA classes today though. glad i have subs for those. hopefully the rest will do me some good!

Have been up most of the night coughing and hacking. ugh! was starting to feel better but as soon as i laid down to try to sleep. WHAM! lots and lots of coughing. Staying home again today. hoping this will be enough to knock it out. Sadly i dont have enough $ to go and buy some sambucol and also kombucha to take along with the d3. That usually helps knock it out pretty quickly. I have $1 literally until friday. ARGH!
so get to stay in bed and do nothing for another day. honestly i go stir crazy doing that! I would rather be living my life than stuck in my bed and just watching movies. Am hoping to be good enough to teach by weds morning. It is so hard to find subs too! that is the other thing! The one thing i dont like about my job is when i need time off or am sick it is SO hard to get anybody to teach for me. sigh. and i teach so many classes that doesn't help matters much.
Well hopefully tomorrow is going to be better! I really wore my body out when i worked and did that training for 13 days straight mid to late january and am sure that is what weakened my immune system. I need to have at LEAST one day off during the week. my body needs that. so the fam got sick and then i ended up paying by getting it on the tail end when they are mostly better. lovely!
so lots of smoothies and fresh juice today and d3 and tea. Hopefully all of that will knock it out. Take that! I am afraid my blog is probably not the most exciting to read i am sure since i eat mostly the same thing - smoothies, salad, teas, and fruit. hmmmmmm..... the occasional raw gourmet. Once i own a excalibur i will make some raw breads and muffins! someday!!!! until then......well... will just have to be happy with what i got. At that point i bet i could easily go 100% raw. I just need to have more fuel. In teh summer it is also pretty easy when i have access to more variety of fruit. Right now the choices are apples, pears, oranges, bananas. now while i appreciate these fruits these are not enough for me to only eat over the winter months. so as springtime comes watch for me to go 100% again. i am also out and doing more stuff so am not stuck in the house as much. It has been SO cold this winter here in CO. doesn't exactly inspire one to go outside. Springtime we anxiously await your arrival!

Today was tough. going back to work aiii! i am doing good when in the house and can have eucalyptus oil steaming on the stove in some water. that helps to release the lungs. but not being in the house. oh my goodness! At least i didn't have any coughing spasms while i was teaching. was worried about that. a couple of my students have been sick and broke out into coughing fits. didn't quite feel up to my game today. but hey hopefully with some rest on the weekend will be good to go on next week! got paid and now i can go get some sambucol and wheatgrass!!! will be drinking some of that tomorrow! yay! about time!
finally got my ipod figured out. my dear husband bought me one a month and half ago and i had not been able to figure out how to transfer my music to itunes. but spent 8 hours and got it all done. and now i can make my playlists on my ipod. still have one club i teach at with no ipod hook up so will have to burn a few CDs but not near as many as i have been. which will be so much better for the environment! YAY!!! now that i got it figured out it is kind of fun :)
had massage therapy this morning. she worked on my left shoulder and neck. there was some SERIOUS knots going on there. :( she said that is what keeps pulling my back out. but she got them to tame down a bit. thank goodness!!!! she also worked on my legs and feet. my knees have been angry again and i have not even been doing anything. sometimes it gets depressing and i just try to not think about it. but then other times i have confidence or at least high hopes that i will fully recover. still think that with lots of greens and good diet that my body will repair itself. just needs the time and options to do so.

FINALLY! the long awaited pay day!!! had an appointment with the biofeedback gal this a.m. (i trade personal training sessions with her for that), a migun bed massage (had done a buy one get one free awhile back hadn't gotten my free one yet!), ion cleanse (detoxed out from my joints, liver, lymphatic system and yeast) and then got some more D3 and some kombucha. And went and had a immunity smoothie! this better knock the last of this darn cold out! no wheat grass. didn't know if i could stomach it this a.m. Trying to send the last of the cold on the highway though! have eucalyptus oil steaming in some water over the stove. that helps to relieve the pressure in my chest.
anyhoo day to get ready for Shabbat. I am READY! :)

back at it! my voice still doesn't seem to know if it wants to stay or go. keeps going in and then out. good to see all my students again. sometimes i am so torn. i love what i do and care about my students and seem to want to just grow and expand and then keep stretching out the tent stakes to do more and challenge myself. but then i miss the time with my kids and family. perhaps when they are older i can do more. i just need to remember that. there will be a season for it. i am starting a new cycling class next week and i am very excited about it. but i start while leaving behind another class. so there is some sadness. i didn't feel like i could pass up this opportunity though. i really wanted to start teaching cycling classes again and the doors have been closed. this one opened up but it conflicted wit ha class i am already teaching. i gave the gym a months notice though that i would no longer be able to teach that class. i am hoping to get one more cycling class. that way i could have my 2 per week that i was hoping for. I think that leaves me with enough toning classes, although i still would like to teach body pump again. i would do that in a heart beat if the opportunity came up. I think i have enough ZUMBA classes :) Zumba Toning i would like to do one more per week and then yoga well i would love to have more yoga classes too. see there is just not enough hours in the day for all this ! ha! i need to really focus on what i really want. when i was home sick last week i was thinking i should really jump on the medical transcriptionist course and get started learning so i can get a job doing that. honestly i need to talk with my hubby and see if we can afford me doing it right now or if i need to keep waiting until/when i get better and settle with insurance company regarding my car accident.
this last sunday, me and hubby went to breakfast. was very fun. after dropping kids off at religious school. then went out and did some shopping. we had a good time and definitely have been needing that connection time with each other. it was good to have some time for just he and i. that doesn't happen much. but everyone seems to be in better spirits since then. Afternoon took the kiddos to swim lessons and came back. mostly just chilled.
scale needs a battery. hopefully hubby will put one in soon so i can start weighing again!
yesterday, we went and did our taxes, we do get some money back! yay. not as much as i had hoped. but at least it is something. with my half am going to pay for a work training i am going to do in march, buy a few ZUMBA clothes and then send some money to the rabbi for the kids summer camp! i wish that wasn't so expensive! trying to pay as much as i can on it b4 hand. This year the kids are also having to put 80% of their chore money towards going to camp. they need to earn it and work for it if they want to go. of course, i WANT them to go! they get to learn so much and interact with lots of other Jewish kids. but i need to them to see the value in working for something you want too. and know that not everything can just be given to you. But they have complied and have been saving since last august. still saving now. their savings paid the down payment on camp! yay :) so they have their spot reserved:) hopefully grandparents will help out again so they can go for the full 4 weeks. will have to see though.....

ahhh am feeling more rested. excited about my upcoming vacation 3 short weeks away! but in some ways cant come FAST enough! ayyy! I am so ready! My body and mind need a break. have had so much stress and stuff going on. will be good to have that mental break :) and PHYSICAL break. honestly my body gets tired doing so much sometime. a week off and i always come back fresh and recharged :)
