ok well i have been not so good at journaling this month. it has been a trying months with ups and downs. my knees have been bad this month and also have had problems with my neck and left shoulder! same as post accident. the last 3 weeks i had been getting nauseous all the time. but i am sure that is tied to my lower back going massively out. so i haven't been feeling the greatest. had some personal things going on that involve others so cant talk about it but it was pretty big and pretty stressful. thankfully those things have been worked out!!!!

Anyhoo. i am back now. I have 2 weeks until i get to leave on a 5 day raw retreat and i am ever SO excited! i can't wait! i am so in need of a vacation and i am planning on using this retreat to jump start me back to 100% raw. my goal is to stay 100% raw until i reach my goal weight and until the issues with my knees and body reside and heal. I have so many things going on.

I was told i need to practice more yoga and more stuff that is going to be healing. soooooo.... that is my plan. Over this last month of very very high stress. i gained 4 pounds :( so sad. So now i work on getting it back off. I was not really doing anything out of hte norm. But my body when stressed reacts by putting weight on my tummy. That is just what happens. So now we journey back down the scale.

March 4, 2010

Yesterday i forgot i did an additional 45 minutes of ZUMBA i just picked up that ZUMBA class and it hasn't sunk in yet. ha! i like it. it is hard getting up early every morning though. Really would like to not do my early a.m. tuesday/thursday classes. They are in another town and 50 mile away. debating on it. will see.... I just dont want their class to get cancelled is the thing. and that is what has held me there. i feel SO much better though when i get to sleep in until 7 or 7:30 am. oh i need to figure out a way to send in my medical transcription thing and be able to pay for it! so i can get started on that. i only want to teach 2 classes a day. i would love to pick up a couple of sunday classes and then drop some of my classes during the week. i am just to spread out. i think 2 classes a day/6 days per week though would be the ideal group ex schedule and then i could do medical transcription stuff to earn some extra money..... ok! now how to budget in an additional $50 a month payment for that? ayyyy...

I have also learned something about myself. i often agree to stuff i dont really want to do. for example i had agreed to teach a couple of more ZUMBA classes at a club but it was sign up, the club was charging a crazy amount of money and nobody signed up. I was THANKFUL. i was praying that nobody would sign up because i just am so tired and my body is still so whacked out from the car accident.. But that was a lesson to myself. Really think about the offer b4 i agree to it.

good and relaxing day. so stressed about the silly car. gaaah!!!! the thought of financing though is extremely stressing my poor husband out. we do alright but living the lifestyle i do of high raw and a large family is expensive. Although for the most part we are healthy. If we ate a diet of crap we would have more free money to spare for stuff like this. Food is one thing i am not willing to compromise on. I have to have certain things and i wont compromise my kiddos diets nor mine. I care to much about my health too. Looking for another class or 2 although my hubby informed me he doesn't think that is the best idea as by the end of most weekdays i am a zombie from getting up early and nonstop going and then going to bed late and all the working out i do pushing my body. I dont feel like a zombie, well ok on thursdays i do after 5 classes! but the rest of the week i feel ok.

The other one is going to be 1/2 greens and 1/2 veggies. can't wait! have my tomato place all ready to go. need to get some stuff so i can get my shoots going soon... hopefully with that our grocery bill can come down. This year i need to get out there and work in my garden more. last year was post car accident and i was hurting all the time and not so motivated to get out there. this year, yes still hurting but hopefully can get out there and take care of it :) it is therapeutic :) Anyhoo.... very excited about all my new babies. maybe i can post a pic tomorrow. i love my back yard! i still want to get a few more berry bushes. but next year!!! :)

Hey still here! last couple of days pretty much eating the same-o, same-o, lots of green smoothies with fresh juices, salad, fruit.... made a vegetable loaf last night. cooked it. but you could have made it raw as well. only had a bite was pretty good though.

leaving monday for retreat.!!!! wooo hooo! can't wait. wanted to weigh today but will try to do it at the gym monday when i go and teach then i will know if i drop any weight while i am gone. i did last year. amazing that i could eat lots of high fat nut stuff while i was there, not do hardly any exercise and i lost weight. go figure! ha! i was 100% raw though. I am hoping to make this my jump start back to 100% raw this year. I feel like my diet is good for the most part though. the only part i dont like is that i sometimes eat the gluten free stuff. I know that could get cut out. other than that?? wellll.... BUT i want to go 30 days 100% raw. starting monday 3/15. so will see how that goes :) want to see if i am able to drop a few pounds especially in the middle. i am so self conscious about my abs! the rest of my body is ok.

Anyhoo! so may or may not be back online until after retreat.

day 7 - 100% raw

So i went on a fabulous retreat this week. the food was absolutely amazing! learned so much and a review of stuff i knew. We learned some stuff on anti-aging (from tanya zavastas stuff), found out about a toothpaste that actually helped my gums to improve while i was there - Thieves. AMAZING stuff! if you would like more info on that. let me know! really my gums have been chronically bad since i started having babies. nothing has seemed to help them i was amazed at how quickly that stuff worked. They were not 100% yet but there was a drastic improvement in just 5 days! WOW!, did some stuff on herbs and healing, and gardening and eye sight. wow wow wow! so exciting!

Also this retreat we did some super food stuff! i started out taking an acai juice this last week. They also sent me home with some bottles. since i have been drinking it i have had no more pain in my neck, shoulders and knees! AMAZING!!!!! i can tell my body is still out and needs some adjusting still and the muscles are still really tight around the injured areas. But i have not had the chronic pain that i have been plagued with since the accident. Finally some relief. I am so thankful for that. it has been so bad that i have been constantly grabbing on to my neck and shoulder when i am not teaching to try to self massage and find some relief. so to be able to drink some juice and find some relief i am truly so thankful! This juice has many many other health beneifts as well! there is some for the heart, for the immune system, for joints (which is really good for athletes or those with chronic pain), the standard juice and kosher blend as well. Another gal that was up there she had a frozen shoulder and was told she would have to have rotator cuff surgery. BUT she started drinking the juice and has regained most of the mobility in her arm. She had given it to her grandchild when he was in the hospital and was really ill. within a couple of hours of taking the immune support one color started return to his face and then he was jumping around on the bed. Another gal, her eye sight improved. TRULY AMAZING!!!! if you are reading this and would like more information just message me! would be happy to share! I am SOOOOOO excited about this amazing drink! It is also accepted by the raw food community too :)

So have a list of stuff i want to add to my list of stuff to do but this is to take care of my self daily so you will find that at the bottom of the daily blog. So far i have been good about getting it done daily. I am going to start taking better care of myself.

I got my medical transcriptionist course in the mail yesterday. Yay. so will be starting to look at it and do that today. Have Passover cleaning to do today as well. And a couple of new dances to learn and put together all my lineups for tomorrow morning.

Honestly i feel like i could use another week or 2 off. I am that mentally fried from my life. But we will see how this week goes! Hopefully it will all be good :) Thankfully next week i have some time off because of Pesach. yay!

woohoo! made it past the week mark. doing pretty good :) yesterday had some face breakouts. kinda expected that. but also started doing loofah on my face. SO that could be it too. bringing more of the toxins out of the skin. it is all good though. i am feeling good. :) went to bed last night at 10 pm. going to try to make another goal for this week of not eating past 7 pm at night. eventually will lower that down. but that is where i want to start. that would give my body a full 12 hours of time to do what it needs for healing and detoxing. I am honestly feeling the need to just nurture my body right now. I am not wanting to push hard core. ha! oh well. i am sure i will get back into the swing of things here. day 9 - 100%

feeling pretty good. last night i passed out around 9:00 was SO tired. definitely got used to not pushing my body THAT hard. ha! and not getting up at 5 am. was kind of nice. But teaching is good too :) trying to find that balance in my life. I know it is there! Searching for it.

I did do good last night. Didn't eat when i got home from teaching. I was hungry but didn't want to eat late or past 7 pm. So i refrained. Just had some tea and then a bunch of water. This morning i woke up and was really thirsty. drank some water. And then went and taught class. Came home and prepared breakfast and was really hungry. a nice feeling. i love that feeling of being HUNGRY when i wake up. Now if i can do it again. That would be great! :) 12 hours of letting my body rest and detox and cleanse. Cool beans. Will see how all these changes impact my body. I am looking only up. I am sure i will see a ton of benefits. Didn't get pics posted up this month but will beginning of april. just had too much going on this month!

going to order the theives products today! yay! if you would like more information on this feel free to message me! I will be posting results when i go to the dentist in may of what news i hear. If he thinks my gums have improved. That would be awesome! It sure looked to me like in 4 days of using it they were improving pretty drastically! plan on having my kiddos use it too.

My hubby is so cute. He said to me last night. Better watch out with all this raw food i might get really skinny. I love him no matter what. Skinny or a little chunky. He looks good both ways. If it ultimately makes him more healthy though i will be happy. :) I am happy that he has cut the aspartame out of his diet. That stuff is SCARY!!!!! all the negative things it does to your body!!! if you eat or drink anything with aspartame. try researching this. It does horrid things to you and they put it into so much stuff! gum, diet soda, other processed foods. If you haven't watched it you might buy or rent "Sweet Misery" That will tell you a LOT about that! I think it is worth owning and sharing with other people you love and care about!

March 24, 2010

day 10 - 100%

I am so proud of my hubby, he has been like 90% raw since sunday or monday. WOW! he hasn't eaten any soda or ate any chocolate. I am so proud of him for trying to cut that crap out of his life. He is planning on being "raw" but with me making it for meals - he is getting for lunch and dinner. Sending fruit for snack. I am happy he is trying to give that stuff up. it really has NO value whatsoever!

the no peanut butter cookies. oh my gosh! those are the BEST cookie i have ever eaten. mmm! they are gone. Need to make another batch. the kiddos devoured those babies up. though i did get ONE! ha! My son was asking for more last night. nope all gone. so are the cookies i made monday. the kids loved those too! So he got raw cheesecake instead! :) mmmm :) with fresh sliced strawberries. He wanted 2 large pieces :) So happy to indulge when it is healthy stuff. They have been good about eating salads, smoothies, sea crackers and the gourmet raw i have made. I will admit though they are not big fans of the basil pesto i made last night. Matt and his kids love it though. Weird? i am not a huge pesto fan either but will eat.

I am feeling good. more mentally happy being 100%. amazed about that shift. though i shouldn't be. But that is worth it right there. Will see what else happens as time goes on.

Thieves is ORDERED! yay! can't wait until it gets here! i am so excited to use this oral care line! yes! :) If you have gum problems or problems with teeth you should consider using this line as well! :)

HAving a monavie tasting party at my house tonight too. I think! It snowed. they cancelled school, one of the gyms i work....will see what else after i wake up. Have another scheduled for next week so might cancel this week. This is great stuff too and i am very excited about it as well! So many health benefits, what a awesome super food!

March 25, 2010

day 11 - 100%

Had my first tasting party last night. :) yay! i am so happy with the Monavie juice. I am amazed that i dont have the constant pain that i was in drinking this juice! so awesome! There is still pain if my move my body in certain motions but as i said the pain is not constant - 24 hours like it was. so thankful for that! Another nice thing is that there is also a way you can drink it for FREE! yup, i said it FREE! so very cool :) if you would like more info on that feel free to message me!

I have been feeling good. loving not eating late at night. even though i get "hungry" it is nice to be able to say no! i love being able to take charge of my health. i also love waking up in the morning feeling light and ready to eat. not bogged down and weighted down. I am so amazed that i am eating so much less being all raw than i was at high raw. when i was high raw, i seemed to be hungry ALL the time! not so with all raw. I find really 3 meals is good. some days i want a snack but most of the time am satisfied with just eating 3 meals. WEIRD! but good :)

My hubby is looking SO hot! i think he has definitely lost some weight. ooh la la! he looks GOOD :) of course, he looked good b4, but now it is even more enhanced :) i am so proud of him for still not drinking the soda nad eating the chocolate! He is doing great! I need to think about waht i am going to make for dinner tonight! needs to be something enticing! ahhhhh...... will do that after i am done blogging here.

I also found i am really trying to work on changing my thinking and the way i speak. i want to try to speak only positive and with gratitude. I am trying to ditch the whiney or negative attitude that i seem to have acquired since hte car accident. no more. at least that is my hope. I am going to try to be thankful each day for my job (even though sometimes it is hard to do it! am going to be thankful that i have the work and for the fabulous people it has put into my life! they are each special to me!), for my family!, for my life - i want to spend more time LIVING and with a thankful heart! anyhooooooo so really really striving for this! :)

On another note, I have released 3 pounds this week. nice :) will see what i am at at the end of the week when it is complete. Love it! :)

day 12- 100% raw

Woohoo! day 12! well that is rocking :) i did end up eating a very small bowl of "mushroom magnifecance" salad last night when i got home. Was pretty hungry after all the classes. That was like 7:45 pm. Thursdays are hard day because i have to leave for class at 3:40 but then dont get home until 7:40 SO hard to not eat late. But it was small so felt like i still did good. Still didn't eat this a.m. until after 7. I really how that makes me feel. Having 11+ hours of my stomach having to not digest food. to just give it a break and let me body focus on whatever it needs to.

I am glad that i survived this week! ha! i had last week off so my muscles always get a "break" then. so they were already not used to pulling my normal load. then i had a bunch of classes that i subbed this week as well. So i had EXTRA in addition to my normal load after a week off! aiiii! Next week I get a couple of days off though because of Pesach. I wont be blogging those couple of days. so will blog monday and then wont be back until thursday :) Will still be around though i promise! Excited to have the couple of days off and extra time with my kids and family. should be good :)

back to 100% raw -

ugh! not feeling as good as i was. am feeling bloated and kind of constipated and also have a runny nose. Glad my matzah eating is done for this year. Definitely notice a HUGE difference!!!! Juicing some today, hopefully it will help push out some of the matzah and get me cleaned out again. other than that, have been doing good!

The seders we went to were nice :) was good to get out and go to some others houses this year. Trying to make some more friends in the community and there were a LOT of people at both. The kids really enjoyed the first night. The 2nd night they were with their dad. i really dislike having to share :( ahhh well. Though not traditional we now do another one at home on another night so we can still have the opportunity to do a family one. So that is good. I wont probably be eating any matzah at that one though.

Was nice having a couple of days off too! We davened and went to the park and played and read an amazing book - "Let my Nation Go" the kids have thoroughly been enjoying this!!! :) Nice to just be home and spend time with the kids and not have to work or do school! just be with the family.

Got my thieves and LOVE LOVE LOVE how it is making my gums look and how it makes my mouth feel! Have a dentist appt in may so will see what he says. Normally my gums are pretty bad. They have been since i have had kids. So excited to see how this makes a difference. If it helps, i will definitely be telling EVERYBODY about it! But it sure looks like it is working. Am using it on my kids as well. They need to have healthy gums and teeth too. :) Have been having them dry skin brush and loofah also. Trying to set those healthy habits in place for them now then it wont be so challenging when they become adults. Anyhoo! if you want more info on the Thieves and you are reading this do feel free to contact me! would be happy to chat with you on how you can get it too! :)

The juice plus is also another great product. We have used that since eliyahu was one. so almost 7 years. The kids have rarley gotten sick with it. The kids get gummies. They have opportunities for the kids to get it for free with an adult order too. Anyhoo! that is another thing if you want more info on feel free to ask! It is made in such a way that it doesn't kill all the nutrients of the fruits and vegetables they use. And much higher quality than stuff you get at the store. Great addition to any diet. This is another product we truly LOVE!
