3 weeks - 100% RAW!!!!! wooohoo!

today was rough and last night.  i really struggled with craving and wanting things i should not have.  aiii! hopefully that will pass soon! as this Shabbos was ROUGH! last night it was the GF lasagna i made for the fam and today it was rice crackers.  I abstained.  but i ate more nuts than normal.  Hopefully i dont pay a price on the scale.  I suppose it was better than giving in though! i am so close to my 30 day goal.  I have also had a bit of an earache today and some weird digestion stuff. not sure what is going on with that.  a lot of gas and bloat and not very good BM most of the day.   perhaps stress.  I dont know.  or maybe a detox bout.  i feel like i am "fighting something off" but aside from that feel good.  DARN CRAVINGS! ahhhh! go away! tomorrow will be better i hope! was just thrilled i stayed strong through them.

day 24 - 100%

Well i have almost met my 30 day goal.  woohoo. 6 more days and i am there :)

Tomorrow is my 2 year anniversary to my dear sweet hubby.  I think we are going out.  There is a raw food place here in town.  love it! Then i dont know? I got a new dress though just for him, awhile back when i wasn't paying for lawyer fees and child advocates and many dr bills.  aiii! now if my ex would just stop feeding our daughter stuff she is allergic too, life would be good! ha! life is good anyway.  just under a tremendous amount of pressure right now.

I do love that drinking the monavie in the morning, gives me a energy boost! woohoo! it is WAY better then coffee.  Though i haven't drank coffee in a long time.  This pretty much does the same thing for me.  I get up, very very tired and not wanting to go to work. am a little cranky.  drink the juice.  Within 10 minutes or so, i feel GREAT, ready to go teach.  basically like i used to feel later on the day after i had time to wake up.  VERY cool!!!!!  This is nourishing to the body, gives your body many many superfoods instead of putting a strain on your organs like coffee can do.  I used to be a coffee fanatic though once upon a time.  i do understand coffee.  There was once i couldn't live without it! aiii! i drank triple shot expressos and ate coffee beans and frequented star bucks.  Ah was so hard to stop coffee but it has been at least 10 years now since i have had coffee.  definitely dont miss it.  But i put my body through the ringer most days with all the working out i do and i often can't go to sleep until 10 pm.  That seems to be my natural clock.  however 5:00 am is NOT my natural clock.  Ha! 8 or 9:00 would be natural i think.  Well since sleeping until then is not a luxury i can have, the monavie really has been a blessing.  That was my thought this morning when i was having SUCH a HARD time waking up.  oh my! How i was grateful to have something to drink that gives me energy first thing in the morning.

aside from that.  another stressful day.  filled with dr appts, calling drs, trying to get paperwork faxed, trying to send a bunch of stuff to the kids dad, paying for the child advocate.  issues with children.  did do some gardening.  got my seeds planted and some seedlings that had started got them into the garden.  so excited for that :) beautiful sunshine.  lots of WIND.  school! oh my.  so ready for school to be done for the year.  I have spring fever.  ha! so does my son unfortunately.  but we still have science and math to get through at 4 1/2 weeks to do it.  I am sure we will but i will be so glad when we are DONE :)

need a break desperately.  i am so tired.  i dont want to log about every little experience or thing that we do around my house that has been the case here lately since my ex started a court battle.  now i just sit and wait. and wait. and wait. the court process takes forever.  in the meantime i am going nuts having to deal with it.  i have been more on edge, not as focused on my family as i want to be and should be. I am STRESSED out.  These are my babies. you would have to know what kind of person the father is to understand, but let me just say this he would not win the father of hte year award by any means.

friday i plan on taking the kiddos and going to a local museum and then walking over the library and the park then having a picnic.  enjoy the morning.  no computer, no journaling about this and that, just me and the kids and spending quality time with them.

thursday they have hair cut appts and then we are off to look at Toys r us.  they have saved some $ and they are SO excited about looking at all the toys.  ahhhhh!!! a mommies nightmare.  a kids dream.  ha!  So that will be a fun excursion.

After we are done with school i plan on taking them on one field trip per week prob mondays or friday and also reinstituting a once a month date with them.  they need it.  i need it.  we need that special obnding time.  no more of what has been happening.

happy mothers day to any mommas, grandmas who might be reading this! hope your day was special (and healthy! ;) )

Got to go the drive-inn last night.  That is always such a treat and we are so lucky to have one but 1/2 mile from our house! we try to support it as much as we can.  There are not many of them left and they are so much fun.  WAY better than a traditional movie theater.  There is nothing like being cuddled up underneath a blanket with your sweetie.  Kiddos in the car watching the movie cuddled up underneath blankets and their pillows.  So they can sack out whenever they are ready :)  We watched Ironman 2 and How to Train your dragon.  both were actually really good.  I liked this iron man better as it built more on the characters and it wasn't just a blow it up violent movie.  Seemed more like a family movie this time.  and How to train your dragon.  Oh I would REALLY like to own that one! LOVE it!  sooo cute! kids were totally sacked out b4 the end of iron man.  But we stayed and watched both shows.  The other cool thing about the drive-inn.  the family can go see 2 movies for ONLY $14.  Now that is a DEAL! You pay more than that for 2 people at the regular theatre.  What can i say, not a big fan of the regular theatre and dont really go that much BUT LOVE LOVE LOVE the drive inn! me and my sweetie, We had our first date there 18 years ago! how fun is that!!!!???? :)

did some muscle testing with a nutritionist this morning.  that was interesting to see.  apparently my body showed that it was geared towards having chronic fatigue syndrome, asthma, yeast issues, etc. all with standard diet.  This was without her knowing that i HAD those things once upon a time. I have done pretty good with trial and error and listening to my body.  grains are definitely a no go (already knew that), soy - no, potatoes, tomatoes (boohoo!), grapes (another boohoo!), blueberries (boohoo!), raisins, cacao (already figure that out), peas, olives, onions, animal products!, tempeh, corn, hazelnuts, macadamia nuts, pine nuts, cherries (boohoo!) & citrus.  But most i have figured out on my own.  So that was exciting.  Also excited for some of the ones i didn't know so i can see how that affects my digestion and overall health.

Need to really focus on the greens, am supposed to add in some alfafa - plan on going to go and get some powder later today.  that was the big one - also mullein and nettle.  going to see if i can grow some of these in my yard and experiment with green smoothies with them.  Anyone tried it???  Also was supposed to really try to add more cinnamon to my diet.  So will have to see how about doing that too.

I really want the best health that i can get.  So will see how it goes! :)

100% raw - day 32

Hey I made it! woohoo! did my 30 days.  yes! i have been so busy i haven't even noticed.  woohoo!

ok so i need to NOT drink monavie at night.  aiii! it gives me so much amazing energy.  my body just soaks it up and i am so geared to go.  But i had run out and a friend brought some to the raw luck last night so i only had 1 oz and still had super energy.  wow! it was 11:30 before i finally was able to go to sleep.  normally i am passed out by 9:00. ha! (or earlier)  I love the amazing energy when i start out my day though that is for sure!!!!  My friend left me half a bottle so that should last me until my next shipment gets here.  hopefully today!  I am so very thankful.  The ortho drs prognosis for me was that i would need steroid shots in my knees and PT off and on for the rest of my life.  i have been feeling so good with this, i really think that is not going to happen.  so yay!

So the shock of all that i am going to try to cut out as my body doesn't like it or is sensitive is coming today.  ha.  yesterday i didn't think it would be hard.  Today it is just like dang! i am already so limited.  oh well.  If it tweaks my diet enough.  I have been able to figure out so many of them on my own that i really believe that it is right.  I am still so thankful that i was able to find this path and get on the road to good health.  so weird having somebody tell me that if i was eating a SAD i would be a very sick woman.  by jove, she is right.  I WAS Very sick when i started my journey with exactly what she said i would have.  So i am excited to see by eliminating these other foods my body doesn't handle or like if things will be even better and more amazing!

Raw luck last night was so fun! was soo good to get together with some other raw foodies. :) I love it! am hosting 2 more over the summer. and i hope to be able to attend more this summer.  My life is crazy but some things are more settled.  ie. our family life is settling down and nestling in there.  And that is really key.  The things with the kids dad is in an uproar and i am hoping to settle on my car accident soon with the insurance company.  I have asked the lawyer to put something together and talk with them.  will see if they will do it or not. I hope they will.  this last year has been less than fun dealing with all that but am thankful to be on the upside of it now.

Of all things, it snowed here! :( it is middle of may and it SNOWED.  can you believe that!??? aiii.  ahhh well. Had to go out and shake all my poor trees this a.m.  they were almost down to the ground with the weight of the snow.  WHERE is summer? I really want the warm weather to come!!!!  am hoping it will be NICE this year for our first camping trip.  we are going over memorial day weekend.  that is not so far off! i need to get some crackers and stuff made prior to the trip.  need to have some munchies that is for sure!

day 35 - 100% raw

So today is my 3rd day of removing the other sensitive foods out of my diet.  anxious to see what kind of benefits i see.  if my digestion improves.  that had continuously been screwy but not as bad as when i am not eating all raw.  I knew there was something else in my diet i was missing but was not sure what.  My digestion does seem to be taming out and becoming more normal.  less bloating, gas, indigestion.  that is good. more satisfied with what i am eating and not having cravings.  funny how when you eat stuff you are allergic to you crave more and more stuff you shouldn't have.

this weekend is going to be busy.  Shabbat, eliyahu has a friend sleeping over, last day of religious school for teh year and then eliyahus bday party! aiii.  need to make him a cake.  doing gluten free.  the kids really do eat a overall healthy diet at hte house i like to treat them on their birthdays.  still GF and still vegan though. eliyahu has been having some problems with some foods too.  The lady who did the muscle testing is supposed to come back next week and do the kids.

can't wait until pay day next week so i can get some more stuff for myself to eat! aiii.. i will admit not having hte citrus is tough.  i LOVE oranges.  darnit! why did that have to be one of the things i couldn't have :( so sad.  That and black olives.  I love those too! oh well.

day 37 - 100% raw

something i ate yesterday really got me to itching.  so it was either the kiwi, pistachios or cucumbers.  think it was one of the first 2.  but i am itchy EVERYWHERE and really bloaty.  aii! allergies/sensitivities are really so not fun.

my kiddos bday party is today.  the big 8!!!! made a gluten free vanilla cake.  he picked out toffee frosting.  so will make that this morning too.  Then we are having strawberry rice dream.  ok so for me.  what am i having? banana ice cream.  :) mmmmm! love it :) yes that will suffice.  most of the time.  i give my kids the raw versions of goodies but bday parties are a time that i let them have what they want.  This was what he picked out.  he got to have 2 friends stay the night last night.  so much fun! i love  bdays and friends :) and good times :) need more of that! going to the rollerskating rink today for that after we do cake and presents at the house.  we, the grandparents and us pitched in on a present together. so hopefully he likes it.  a star wars lego set.  also got him the lego brickmaster magazine subscription, you get a little lego set that comes along with it 6 times per year.  i know he will love that.  Hopefully he will be happy :)

day 38 - 100% raw

found out also no kiwi and no pistachios.  boohoo! oh well.  will see how body responds when iget all this stuff out of it that i should not be having and that it is sensitive allergic to.  I have noticed my digestion has been better and much improved.  I am thankful for that.  I want to get my body up and running like it should be totally.  want to not have any more bloating or gassiness and good BM.  I have not had much bloating. i did on Shabbat though after eating the kiwi and pistachios :( I was also very very very itchy.  on my face and my body.  not fun!

i will say this month with being 100% i had no pms symptoms.  my period came on the 12th and i had NO idea it was coming.  In the past i get really cranky the day b4 and am not the most pleasant to be around. This month it just came and there was no grouchiness.  was much more pleasant.  Also it was SHORTER, normally it lasted 7 days.  this time it lasted 4 days.  I am all for that! shorter periods are A-OK with me!
